NOTICE OF A PUBLIC MEETING FOR 2027 BUDGET AND REAPPRAISAL PLAN and IMPACT STATEMENT

The Board of Directors for the Angelina County Appraisal District will hold an open meeting to discuss the 2027 Budget, the 2027-2028 Reappraisal Plan, and CAD financial reports at 08:00am September 3, 2026 at 105 Miles Way Suite 300, Lufkin, Texas.  The public is invited to attend.

Effective September 1, 2025, Texas Government Code 551.043 requires a taxpayer impact statement.  The statement shows a comparison of the property tax bill for the median-value homestead property for the current fiscal year to an estimate of the property tax bill for the same property for the upcoming fiscal year if the proposed budget is adopted by the taxing entity.  Since Angelina County Appraisal District does not adopt a tax rate and does not impose property taxes, adoption of the proposed budget would have no direct impact on a taxpayer property tax bill.
